this project looks fantastic...where is it located? who was designer? contractor?
you mentioned the siding we used..and "budget". you chose to stick with ipe..which is very nice. however the massaranduba that we used is about 30% cheaper than ipe with same properties adn red.
thanks for the comments. the massaranduba was going to be about the same cost (limited availability where we are). plus we have a strict DRC and the approved plans called for ipe (the initial red color of massaranduba wouldn't pass final). it's in emerald hills (30 minutes south of San Francisco), Tim Rempel (architect) and RSQ Construction. I have to give props to our Contractor, Rob. The design was truly a collaborative effort. We hired Rob as a consultant before hiring the architect and Rob has kept our budget in check..so far so good!!
